How to connect Salve to ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps

2Add the connector in your AI app

    Open Settings, then Connectors.

    Choose Add custom connector.

    Paste the address and confirm.

    Sign in to Salve and allow access.

    Run this in your terminal:
    claude mcp add --transport http salve https://mcp.umsalve.com/mcp

    Sign in to Salve in the browser that opens.

    Open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.

    In the composer, open the plus menu and create an app for a remote MCP server.

What is the Salve MCP?

A connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that AI apps use to reach other services. With it, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps can search and read what you saved in Salve.

Do I need Salve Pro?

Yes. Using your archive outside the app is a Salve Pro feature. The connector asks you to upgrade on its first read.

What content can the AI read?

Everything you saved in Salve: Instagram Reels and posts, TikTok videos, X posts and web pages. For every video, the AI reads the full transcript and the text that appears on screen.

Which AI apps work with Salve?

Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and any app that accepts a remote MCP server. In ChatGPT, you need to turn on Developer mode.

Can the AI delete or change my saves?

It can save, organize and delete, as you can in the app. Before it deletes or shares anything, it asks you to confirm. The connector reaches only your account and the shared folders you are in. To turn it off, remove the connector in the AI app.
